The Faculty of Sharia and Law at Thamar University Organizes a Cultural Seminar on the Importance of Commemorating the Prophet's Birthday

■ The Faculty of Sharia and Law at Thamar University, in cooperation with the University Student Forum and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, organized a cultural seminar on the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday. This seminar was part of the university's cultural and awareness program implemented in preparation for this great religious occasion.

The seminar was held in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Bahla, the Vice Deans for Academic Affairs, Dr. Bashir Qaddoum, and for Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Mashwi, the heads of the academic departments, the General Secretary of the Faculty, Mohammed Amer, faculty members, and administrative staff. Also in attendance were the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Ahmed Al-Hadi, and a number of students from the Faculty of Sharia and Law.

In his welcoming remarks, the Dean of the College emphasized that commemorating the Prophet's birthday embodies sincere love and loyalty to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, and strengthens the nation's connection to his noble life and timeless values. He pointed to the importance of utilizing this occasion to instill Prophetic ethics and enhance religious and national awareness among students.

During the seminar, Mr. Hassan Al-Mawshki, the University Rector's Consultant of Cultural Affairs, spoke, highlighting the exalted status of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, and the profound religious and educational significance of commemorating his birth. He affirmed that celebrating this occasion presents an opportunity to draw inspiration from Prophetic values ​​in building individuals and society, and to strengthen faith-based identity in the face of intellectual and cultural challenges.

In his address, Dr. Aref Malhi, a faculty member at the college, emphasized the importance of venerating religious rites and commemorating significant Islamic occasions. He explained that the anniversary of the Prophet's birth represents a spiritual milestone for renewing one's connection with the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and emulating his example of morality, mercy, and justice. He called for broad participation in the cultural and religious events organized by the university to mark this occasion.
