Thamar University Holds a Scientific Event Titled "America Moral Collapse from its Founding to Colonial Dominance"

■ Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, the College of Sharia and Law hosted a unique cultural and scientific event titled "America Moral Collapse from its Founding to Colonial Dominance."

 

This event is a part of a series of events organized by the Department of Libraries, Printing, Publishing and Translation in cooperation with the Department of Media and Public Relations.

 

The event was held under the slogan "You Are Not Alone," as part of the university's efforts to enhance national awareness of the nation's issues. It was attended by Prof. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr.  Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Mr. Hassan Al-Mawshki, the Consultant of the Rector for Cultural Affairs and a number of academics, researchers and interested parties attended the conference.

 

The event included a critical analysis of American history, detailing the criminal and aggressive course of American actions against indigenous peoples and their civilizations and against the peoples of the world with their diverse ethnicities and cultures.

 

It also included ongoing crimes against the Arab and Islamic nations through invasion, occupation and support for Zionism, radical regimes and client dictatorships.

 

In his opening remarks, the University Rector, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, emphasized the importance of these events, organized by the University in coordination with the Local Council. 

 

He pointed out that the confrontation with the enemy is no longer confined to the field of weapons but has also become a battle of awareness, words, and stance.

 

He emphasized the necessity of continuing this cultural struggle to expose the crimes of America and the Zionist entity.

 

He also explained that the crimes committed against Palestine, our people,and our nation are purely American-Zionist crimes, emphasizing that Yemen today represents the only country that remains steadfast, resilient and supportive of Gaza.

 

 He added that Thamar University is holding these seminars to benefit from the expertise of researchers and enhance community awareness.

 

During the event, researchers Dr. Bashir Zendal and Dr. Salah Al-Qawsi presented an in-depth analysis of the historical and intellectual roots of American policies, beginning with the founding period through the stages of colonial expansion and ending with the political and moral repercussions of contemporary hegemony.

 

From his part, Dr. Zendal pointed out that the founding American discourse was built on moral contradictions between slogans of freedom and practices of genocide and enslavement, citing historical documents that reveal the role of early American elites in formulating a supremacist colonial identity.

 

Dr. Al-Qawsi noted that contemporary American hegemony is merely an extension of an exceptional culture that justifies foreign interventions under the guise of false values. He also called for a realistic re-reading of the American model, based on documented history, which demonstrates the extent of crimes committed throughout history.

 

At the conclusion of the event, Prof. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, delivered a speech in which he added important references to the American crimes against the Yemeni people.

 

The event, moderated by Dr. Essam Wasil, the Head of the Libraries Department, and was attended by Mr. Jamal Al-Bahri, the Head of the Media and Public Relations Department, Dr. Aziz Al-Aqraa, the Vice Dean of the College of Arts for Academic Affairs, Mr. Abdulgader Al-Dailami, the General Secretary of the College of Sharia and Law, Mr. Ali Al-Washli, the General Director of Entitlements, and a number of academics, administrators and students.

 

Participants engaged in the discussions, considering this event a qualitative step in reshaping critical awareness among students and the elite alike.
