Opening of a New Teaching Hall at the Faculty of Sharia and Law and Renewed Call for Strengthening Community Partnerships to Support Education

■ In a step that embodies the integration of official efforts and community initiatives supporting education, the Governor of Dhamar Governorate and Head of the Local Council, Mohammad Nasser Al-Bukhaiti, Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, and Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, inaugurated this morning Al-Hajj Mohammed Abdu Dadih Hall at the Faculty of Sharia and Law. The hall can accommodate 366 students, as a part of the university's efforts to develop its infrastructure and expand its capacity to keep pace with the growing number of students.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ahmed Hussein Al-Dhurani, the Public Mobilization Officer for Dhamar Governorate, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice Rector of the University for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice Rector of the University for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Essam Wasel, the Rector's Assistant to the University for Centers Affairs, Hadi Ammar, the Undersecretary for Basic Education, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the General Secretary of the University, as well as Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Bahla, the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, the Vice Deans, the General Secretary of the Faculty, and a number of faculty members, university leaders, and academic and administrative staff.

During the opening, attendees toured the hall and its facilities, recognizing its significant contribution to the faculty's educational infrastructure, which will provide a more suitable academic environment for the learning process and accommodate the increasing number of students.

In his address on the occasion, Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, expressed his delight at the expansion and development of Thamar University's academic facilities. He commended the efforts made to enhance the educational environment and provide the necessary resources to elevate the level of academic performance, emphasizing that supporting infrastructure is a key pillar for improving the quality of university education and its outcomes.

From his part, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, praised the generous initiative of Mr. Mohammed Abdu Dadih, who undertook the construction, equipping, and furnishing of the hall, seeking reward and service to knowledge and its students. He affirmed that this initiative represents a commendable model of responsible community giving and effective partnership in supporting the advancement of higher education.

The University Rector noted that this hall will contribute to improving the educational environment at the Faculty of Sharia and Law and meeting some of its growing needs. He called upon philanthropists, business leaders, and community organizations to emulate this pioneering initiative and contribute to supporting educational and developmental projects within the university, particularly the completion of other halls and educational facilities that still require support and funding.

On the sidelines of the opening ceremony, the Governor of Dhamar Governorate, Mohammed Nasser Al-Bukhaiti, addressed the students of the faculty, emphasizing the importance of the Faculty of Sharia and Law and its significant contribution to the educational system in the governorate. He pointed to the pivotal role played by faculties of Sharia and Law in preparing qualified legal and academic professionals capable of contributing to building society and establishing the values ​​of justice and legal awareness.Mr. Al-Bukhaiti affirmed that the graduates of faculties of Sharia and Law represent a key pillar in various societies, given their role in preparing and training specialized personnel to serve state and community institutions, strengthen the rule of law, and solidify the principles and values ​​that preserve the stability and cohesion of societies.
