The Rector of Thamar University Inspects Sixth Level Medical Exams and Commends Al-Wihda University Hospital's Role in Enhancing Clinical Training

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, inspected the progress of the sixth-level medical exams for the 23rd cohort of medical students at the Faculty of Medicine's clinical department in Al-Wihda University Teaching Hospital in Maabar. He emphasized the importance of clinical exams in assessing students' readiness and preparing them to practice their medical profession efficiently and effectively.
The University Rector was accompanied during the visit by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Abdulfattah Al-Rifai, and the University General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum.
They reviewed the procedures for conducting the exams, which are held daily with the participation of 20 sixth-level students, in accordance with approved academic procedures and under the supervision of specialized medical and teaching staff.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Abdullah AL- Murtadha, the Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs, the General Director of Al-Wihda University Teaching Hospital, Professor Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Miqdad, and several hospital leaders and faculty and medical staff members oversaw the examinations and inspection process.
Following the inspection, the University Rector chaired a comprehensive meeting with leaders from the Faculty of Medicine and Al-Wihda University Teaching Hospital in Maabar.
The meeting addressed several academic and student-related issues, ways to improve educational and clinical performance, and how to enhance collaboration between the faculty and the hospital to better serve the educational and training process.
The meeting emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to raise the standard of medical education and provide an advanced training environment for medical students. This will contribute to preparing qualified medical professionals capable of serving the community and keeping pace with scientific advancements in the health field.
