The Rector of Thamar University inspects Alwihdah University Teaching Hospital in Maabar

■  The Rector of Thamar University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, visited today Alwihdah University Educational Hospital and toured a number of hospital departments.

He also met with the Hospital Administration, a number of Doctors and Physician Assistants, the Hospital's Administrative Staff and the Nursing Staff.

He was accompanied on the visit by the Vice-Rectors of the University for Higher Studies and Scientific Research, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, the General Secartary of the University, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences, and a number of Academic and Administrative Leaders of Thamar University.

During the visit, the Rector of the University referred to the systematic Zionist crime taking place in Ghaza and called on medical workers to be patient, learn lessons, and know that our enemy is merciless, and that we must train to work in the harshest conditions and in the absence of possibilities as the heroes of Ghaza working in the medical and health fields .

The Rector of the University praised the level of emergency improvement in the hospital and the continued improvement of the medical and educational process in the hospital.

He pointed out that the University Educational aspect enjoyed by the hospital is very important for the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Medical Sciences, and the Institute of Continuing Education, as the hospital is a main pillar of Thamar University Scientific, Educational, and Service.

The Rector of the University pointed out that the hospital has great competencies of the University's students and graduates from a specialized and highly qualified academic, medical, administrative and nursing staff.

The Rector of the University stressed that Thamar University has a large medical facility consisting of three hospitals, namely Alwihdah University Hospital, Dental Hospital, and Veterinary Hospital.

He added that these hospitals receive the care and attention of the University leadership, giving them priority and the necessary facilities to ensure their growth, prosperity, and continued provision of services to the University and the community.

From his part, the Director of the Hospital thanked Dr. Mohammed Al-dhulei, the Rector of the University, and his Companions for the attention to the hospital, the constant care of its management, and the constant inspection.

Dr. Al-dhulei reviewed a number of tasks that have been updated in the hospital, including the recently constructed isolation building, which will contain 21 Intensive Care beds with full accessories, funded by the United Nations Office (UNOPS), and also reviewed the medical and emergency tasks provided by the hospital to the people of the region, students of Thamar University from the specialties of the Faculty of Medicine, Medical Sciences, and the Institute of Continuing Education.
