Final Exams Begin for Students of the Faculty of Medicine at Thamar University at Al-Wihda University Hospital

■ With the aim of enhancing the quality of medical training, the Rector of Thamar University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, along with the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, inaugurated today the final exams for sixth-year medical students.
These exams are being held at Al-Wihda University Teaching Hospital in Maabar, which is affiliated with the Faculty. This inauguration is a part of the direct monitoring of the educational and examination process and reflects the university leadership's commitment to providing a suitable academic environment for its students.
Upon their arrival at the hospital, they were received by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, his deputy for hospital affairs and General Director of Al-Wihda University Teaching Hospital, Professor Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Miqdad, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. AbduIlah Al-Adhruei, as well as a number of department heads and faculty members, the General Secretary of the Faculty, Ali Al-Bakhrani, and several administrative staff members from the Faculty and the hospital, all of whom are working to ensure the success of this important academic phase.
During the inauguration, the Unversity Rector commended the high level of organization and discipline demonstrated during the examinations. He praised the efforts of the college deanship, the hospital administration, and the supervising committees. He explained that the examinations would continue for two weeks, with one week dedicated to practical and the other to theoretical components, ensuring the assessment of students' scientific and clinical skills and theoretical knowledge according to rigorous academic and professional standards.
Dr. Al-Rifai noted that the bachelor's degree examinations represent the final stage for sixth-year medical students and serve as the gateway to the internship phase. During this phase, graduates transition to direct professional practice, enabling them to contribute effectively and competently to serving the community and the healthcare sector.
From his part, the college dean, Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, expressed his appreciation to the University Rector for his ongoing support of the College of Medicine and his continuous commitment to developing its academic programs and strengthening its institutional structure.
He emphasized that this support has helped overcome many challenges recently, enabling the college to achieve remarkable accomplishments and maintain its prestigious academic standing among its peers.
Professor Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Miqdad, the General Director of Al-Wihda University Teaching Hospital, also appreciated the constant care that the university leadership gives to the hospital, which represents a distinguished scientific, medical and research edifice that provides advanced health and educational services to the people of the region, and constitutes an integrated training field for students of the faculties of human medicine and medical sciences and the Institute of Continuing Education at Thamar University, where it provides them with opportunities for clinical learning and practical training at the hands of an elite group of competent doctors and consultants, which enhances their professional and humanitarian mission in serving medical research and sciences and society.
