Thamar University Celebrates Medical Excellence and Awards Dr. Mohammed Qasim the "Shield of Excellence"

■ In a distinguished academic event reflecting the institutional culture of recognizing exceptional talent, an official ceremony was held today at Al-Wihdah University Teaching Hospital in Maabar, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University and Chairman of the Hospital's Board of Directors.
The ceremony honored Dr. Mohammed Qasim Salah, a faculty member at the College of Medicine, Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, and Deputy the General Director for Clinical Affairs at the hospital who was officially awarded the "Shield of Excellence" in recognition of his distinguished professional and academic career.
The ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of scholars and physicians from the Faculty of Medicine at Thamar University, including Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Miqdad, the Vice Dean for Hospital Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Houthi, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Adhruei, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, and a number of other scholars, physicians and leaders from the university and the hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine.
This recognition aligns with the university's approach of highlighting academic and medical exemplary figures who have effectively contributed to the development of the educational process, the enhancement of clinical training quality and the strengthening of integration between university education and healthcare services.
This honor is a culmination of the distinguished career of Dr. Mohammed Qasim, who is known for his high professional commitment, academic competence and remarkable compassionate presence in clinical supervision of patient care. Furthermore, his pioneering role in the academic and practical training of students and in instilling the values of discipline, responsibility and medical ethics within classrooms and field training sites has made him a role model for academic and medical excellence.
During the event, the Dean of the College, Dr. Al-Murtadha, praised Dr. Mohammed Qasim's significant contributions to improving the quality of medical education.
