Thamar University and the Tax and Customs Authority Discuss Strengthening Cooperation and Addressing Issues of Mutual Interest

■ Thamar University met today with the Tax and Customs Authority to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and develop institutional partnerships between the two sides, in order to serve the public interest and contribute to supporting the educational and academic process.
During the meeting, which was attended by Thamar University delegation headed by the University Rector, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, and included the Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, and the General Director of Financial Affairs at the University, Abdulghani Al-Hajjaji, while the Tax and Customs Authority was represented by the Acting Head of the Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Mahdi, a number of issues and topics of mutual interest were reviewed, and mechanisms for addressing them in accordance with applicable laws and regulations were discussed.
The Rector of Thamar University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, emphasized the importance of continued coordination and cooperation with the Tax and Customs Authority. He commended the existing level of cooperation and the facilities provided by the Authority, which contribute to addressing related issues, developing work mechanisms, and achieving common interests.
From his part, the Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Mahdi, affirmed the Authority's commitment to strengthening cooperation with educational and academic institutions and providing all possible facilities within the framework of the law, thereby supporting the role of universities in development and building national capacities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue coordination and consultation on the issues discussed and to enhance areas of joint cooperation in a way that contributes to achieving institutional goals and serving national development.
