The Rector of Thamar University Chairs Meeting of Bids Opening Committee for Engineering College Cafeteria Lease

■ In accordance with the legal and regulatory procedures pertaining to university investments, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, chaired today the meeting of the committee responsible for receiving and opening bids for Public Tender No. (2) of 1447- 2026, concerning the lease of the Engineering College cafeteria on the western campus.

During the meeting, the committee commenced its work by opening the envelopes submitted by the participating bidders and officially recording the bid details in the envelope opening register in the presence of the bidders, in accordance with the procedures and regulations governing public tenders, thus ensuring transparency and equal opportunities for all applicants.

The committee reviewed the data and documents accompanying the submitted bids. Five bidders participated in the auction, submitting their proposals to invest in the cafeteria according to the terms and specifications outlined in the tender documents.

The committee confirmed that the technical and administrative review of the bids will be completed in the coming days, paving the way for submitting its recommendations to the university's Tenders Committee within two days. These recommendations will include the winning bid that meets the terms and criteria specified in the tender documents.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the university's General Secretary, Abdulghani Al-Hajjaji, the General Director of Financial Affairs, Abdullah Shakhb, the General Director of Investment, Abdulqader Al-Dailami, the Secretary of the Committee and the General Director of the University Council, as well as the participating bidders.

These procedures reflect Thamar University's commitment to managing its investments and service facilities according to legal and administrative principles that ensure transparency, efficiency, and the best possible return for the benefit of the educational process and the development of the university environment.
