Thamar University holds a series of meetings to simplify procedures and implement the University's code of professional conduct

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University held a series of meetings today at a Library headed by the University, attended by Deputy Minister of Higher Education Dr. Ali Sharaf Al-Deen, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service, Mr. Abdullah Haider, the University Teams for the programs of applying the code of Professional Conduct and work ethics, developing services and simplifying procedures at Thamar University and Alwihdah University Hospital, and the Vice-Rectors of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Abdulkarim Zabibah, and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, and a number of Deans of Colleges, Heads of Departments and General Managers of the University.

At the meeting, which was attended by the Heads of the two Teams, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the General Secartary of the University, Mr. Abdulrazzaq Al-Afiri, the General Director of Internal Audit, Mr. Essam Al-Omaisi, the General Director of the Civil Service in the Governorate, and Mr. Abdulkarim Al-Dahak, the General Director of Activities at the Ministry of Higher Education.

He pointed out that the University leadership is interested in overcoming all difficulties and facilitating procedures for the success of the mission of the two teams in the tasks assigned to them.

The Rector of the University pointed out that Thamar University had been proactive since the launch of the Code initiative by starting the procedures of recording the data of its employees, handing them a copy of the code, and collecting their pledges to abide by what is stated in it.

From his part, the Deputy Minister, Dr. Ali Sharaf Al-Deen praised the efforts of Thamar University, the degree of cooperation and tolerance among its cadres and its commitment to faith identity and job ethics.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service, Mr. Abdullah Haider, praised the efforts of the Thamar University teams, and added that because of the excellence shown by Thamar University through the University teams, whether it is the team concerned with the code or the simplification of procedures team, the Ministry believes the need to benefit from the expertise of the University teams in training other teams in a number of Governorates of the Republic.
