■ Thamar University participated today with a distinguished academic elite in an important scientific symposium on" The ambitions of the Israeli enemy in the Red Sea", hosted by Al-Baydha University.

Thamar University's participation came in response to the directives of the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, to strengthen cultural relations and scientific exchange with Yemeni Universities in general, and Al-Baydha University in particular.

The seminar was organized within the events of the Al-Aqsa Flood, at the Martyr Al-Samad Hall, at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in Rada'a and was moderated by Dr. Essam Wasel, the Professor of Literary Studies at Thamar University.

The Rector of Al-Baydha University, the Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Arami, presented a scientific paper on the nature of the conflict with the Israeli enemy.

Dr. Salah Al-Qawsi, the Deputy Dean of Thamar University's Institute for Continuing Education and a Specialist in the History of International Relations, presented a working paper on "The strategies of the Israeli enemy in the Red Sea".

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Muwalid, the Professor of Islamic Thought, the General Secretary of Al-Baydha University, a paper on the Quranic vision of the conflict with the Zionist enemy.

During the seminar, Dr. Bashir Zindal, the Professor of Translation at Thamar University, made a comment in which he discussed the absence of the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict from the basic school curricula in Yemen and pointed out the absence of real history in the curricula.

In conclusion, Dr. Mohammed Al-Nathari, the Professor at Al-Baydha University, read out the final recommendations related to the seminar.

It should be noted that Thamar University hosted a similar seminar earlier this year, organized by the Library, Printing, Publishing and Translation Department of the University's Academic Affairs Department.

The participation of Thamar University in this symposium aims to strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation between the two Yemeni Public Universities, due to the historical and social ties that bind them and the fact that Al-Baydha University was a branch of Thamar University before its independence in 2008.
