Thamar University is preparing to host the launch of the electronic payment project for means of transport in Dhamar

Thamar University in its various halls and squares, as a part of the Al-Aqsa Flood events, the University seeks to find successful solutions to the problem of transportation to and from the University.

Today's meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, discussed with the Director of the Branch of the Bank of Yemen and Kuwait, Mr. Ziad Hammoud Ziad, headed by Thamar University, a number of topics of common interest between the University and the Branch of the Bank of Yemen and Kuwait in Dhamar.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the General Secartary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the Directors of Public Relations and Media at the University and Dr.Abdulkarim Al-Mawshki, Humanitarian Remittance officer at the Bank of Yemen and Kuwait, discussed many issues of common interest, including the incubation of Thamar University to launch the electronic payment project for means of transport in Dhamar.

The project, funded by the Bank of Yemen and Kuwait, aims to develop smart electronic alternatives to the use of paper currency in public transport.

The expected positive effects of the project on the local community and the University's employees were also discussed, and the University's contribution to the success of the project was studied, especially in embracing the official announcement of the launch scheduled for Saturday, February 17 at Thamar University campus.

During the meeting, the Rector of the University discussed with his guests the strengths and weaknesses of the project, reviewed the prospects for its success and potential challenges, as well as the targeting of the project for all sectors of society and the social responsibility of the project towards basic and University Education.

This cooperative initiative between Thamar University and the Bank of Yemen and Kuwait reflects the joint commitment to promote development and improve the services provided to the community and enhances the role of the University in cooperation with its partners in contributing to the sustainable development of the city and the region.
