Strengthening Cooperation and Joint Coordination between Thamar and Science and Technology Universities Thamar University Media/ Jamal Al-Bahri / Jumad Awal 27, 1445. December 10, 2023 ■ The Rector of Thamar University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, along with his Deputy for Higher Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Abdulkarim Zabibah, received today in his office in Presidency of Thamar University, Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Mutawakel, the Rector of the University of Science and Technology, and his Deputy, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif Musleh, and Dr. Hussein Juaim, the Dean of the University Branch in Dhamar . This meeting comes to strengthen the cooperation agreement and partnership between the two Universities which was signed last September after the two Universities received Academic Accreditation for the Medical and Surgery Programs, and as the first two Yemeni Universities to enter among the top 200 Arab Universities according to the results of the QS ranking of Universities around the world for the year 2022/2023 . During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen the agreement signed between the two Universities, implement its provisions, consolidate aspects of cooperation, and raise the level of coordination between the two Universities at all levels. From his part, the Rector of Thamar University welcomed the guests of the University and expressed the readiness of Thamar University to go as far as possible in the relationship with Science and Technology to ensure the implementation of all the provisions of the agreement and accelerate the implementation of joint programs between the two Universities that would benefit the two Universities, their employees, and Higher Education in Yemen in general . From his part, Dr. Al-Mutawakel, the Dean of the University of Science and Technology, thanked Dr. Al-Haifi, expressing his gratitude for the hospitality, warm reception, and positive response from the Leadership of Thamar University in order to consolidate the relationship between the two Universities and strengthen their ties. The two patrs also discussed the possibility of enhancing cooperation on Thamar University Hospitals for Medicine, Dentistry, Laboratories, Halls, the Field of Scientific Supervision and Clinical Application for students of both Universities, as they considered that students are students of both Universities and that the opportunity available to students of any University will be available to students of the other University.
