On the occasion of the Prophet's Birth, Thamar University welcomes the inauguration ceremony of cultural and sports activities and honors the outstanding participants

■ In the framework of celebrating the Birth of the Prophet, Thamar University organized the inauguration ceremony of Cultural and Sports Activities and the reception of new students for the year 1445, (2023-2024) and the ceremony of honoring outstanding students in Cultural and Sports Activities.

At the event, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, The Rector of the University, pointed out the importance of the presence of the Holy Prophet in the nation and His impact on its reality. He stressed that the prophet is the source of guidance, light and good morals for the decent people, and that He occupies a high place in the hearts of Yemeni people as an example and a leader.


The Rector of the University explained that the Holy Prophet is our teacher, guide and role model, and He is the good example at a time when errors and differences proliferated due to the distancing of societies from the source of their strength and pride, represented by the book of Allah and the person of the great Prophet and the guidance flags that invited us to adhere to their guidance.

The Rector of the University concluded by saying that the effective crowd and influential presence on the Anniversary day of the Prophet's Birth on the central square of Thamar University is to come to Muhammadiyah Station Square to provide us with all the great values and sound orientations and take advantage of this great occasion to learn and take lessons from His fragrant biography and His sound guidance, and also a great opportunity to listen to the speech and guidance of the Leader delivered on this occasion.


In addition, Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs, said that on this day we are proud to celebrate a great occasion, including the fact that our students won the first positions and a number of advanced positions in many student activities held by the Ministry of Higher Education.


Today, Thamar University celebrates a constellation of its outstanding students in various fields. Also today we celebrate a great day which is the most importantly of all our celebrations, we celebrate a day in front of Humanity and Mercy.


Dr. Al-Rifai added that the celebration of Mohammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) is an essential thing and it is not necessary that He celebrated His birthday to start celebrating it, today we live a life and an era other than His, and we use transportation, technology and services that he did not use and cannot be described as innovation, because they did not appear on the time of our Holy Prophet, and although it can be said that He celebrated His birthday, and everyone knows what was said in the aftermath that He pray and fast on Monday, and when he asked why, Allah's Messenger said :"It is the day of my Birth and, and so is the day I abandoned) (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).


At the concert, Almasirah Band presented a number of wonderful singing operettas, which impressed the audience and amazed them with the performance of Almasirah Band.


At the end of the event, the Rector of the University distributed awards and certificates of appreciation to outstanding students in Cultural, Scientific and Sports Competitions held as a part of student activities. He also honored the participating colleges and the auxiliary committees in this event.
