The Rector of Thamar University Inaugurates New Academic Year at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Affirms Commitment to Enhancing the Quality of Medical Education

■ In an academic atmosphere reflecting Thamar University's commitment to enhancing the quality of the educational process and raising the level of academic performance, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, inaugurated the new academic year at the Faculty of Medical Sciences today. He was accompanied by Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the General Secretary of the University, and Jamal Al-Bahri, the Head of Media and Public Relations Department.

The University Rector and his entourage were received by Dr. Adel Emran, the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Ahmed Al-Mujahid, the General Secretary of the Faculty, and a number of faculty and administrative staff members. The inauguration of the new academic year included an inspection of the academic and administrative readiness to receive students and commence studies in the various programs and specializations offered by the Faculty.

During the inauguration, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi emphasized that the launch of the new academic year represents a significant milestone in renewing academic excellence and continuing the university's institutional development and growth across its various colleges and research centers. He noted that the College of Medical Sciences is a vital college that plays a crucial role in preparing and qualifying healthcare professionals, both scientifically and professionally. This necessitates redoubling efforts to elevate the level of education and training and to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and modern practical applications.

From his part, Dr. Adel Emran, the Dean of the College of Medical Sciences, expressed his gratitude to the Unversity Rector and leadership for their ongoing support of the college and their commitment to monitoring its academic and administrative needs. He affirmed that the college has completed its preparations to welcome students and commence the new academic year according to a well-organized academic plan, ensuring a suitable learning environment that contributes to achieving the college's goals and scientific mission.
