The Rector of Thamar University discusses settlements in an expanded meeting with a number of university leaders and cadres

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, held an expanded meeting today with university leaders and faculty members, in the presence of his Deputy for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, and the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, to discuss mechanisms for accelerating the resolution of pending financial and administrative issues with a focus on the issue of disbursing salaries according to the exceptional mechanism and completing late settlements for academic and administrative cadres.
The meeting discussed a number of topics, most notably the mechanism for disbursing salaries according to the exceptional mechanism and following up on the settlements of cadres who had previously been issued fatwas by the civil service.
During the meeting, the University Rector stressed his keenness to do justice to all cadres without exception by settling their situations, noting that the university has fulfilled its full obligations by providing the Ministries of Finance and Civil Service with all supporting documents and dues necessary to proceed with the exceptional mechanism program and said that our role is limited to diligent follow-up with the relevant authorities and providing them with the required documents to ensure the implementation of the settlements according to the specified timetable.
The University Rector also conveyed to the attendees the assurances of those concerned in the Ministries of Finance and Civil Service to proceed with completing the pending files during the coming period, explaining that the financial and administrative settlements are subject to central supervision and will be implemented comprehensively for all universities once the legal procedures are completed.
He added that the university leadership and its representatives in the ministries follow up on the file daily, but the final decision is in the hands of the relevant ministries.
The meeting concluded with the University Rector stressing the continuation of enhancing transparency in dealing with pending files and intensifying efforts to complete the procedures once the final decisions are issued by the central authorities.
He stressed that the university will remain a supportive platform for its cadres to achieve a transparent work environment in order to support them and preserve all their rights.
