Thamar University Takes Additional Steps to Enhance Governance and Transparency

■ In the context of strengthening financial discipline and activating governance systems within the university environment, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, chaired an expanded meeting that included the University General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the General Director of Financial Affairs, Abdulghani Al-Hajjaji, and treasurers from various university units.

 

During the meeting, the University Rector emphasized the pivotal role played by treasurers in ensuring the smooth flow of financial operations, revenue collection, and facilitating financial procedures in accordance with approved modern electronic systems. He emphasized the need for strict adherence to the procedures governing financial work and keeping pace with technological developments in the field of collection and financial management through the AFMIS and ERP systems.

 

The University Rector highlighted the importance of resolving financial situations on a timely basis and renewing approved financial guarantees. He also commended the exemplary performance of a number of exemplary treasurers who have set a high standard of discipline.

 

He emphasized that the university intends to honor exemplary employees in the financial and administrative sectors for the 2025-2026 academic year this year, in recognition of their dedicated efforts and contributions to enhancing institutional performance.

 

This meeting falls within the framework of Thamar University's approach to instilling a culture of financial responsibility and self-control, as a part of the university's vision to develop its administrative and financial system to keep pace with current requirements and achieve the highest levels of transparency and institutional commitment.
