The Rector of Thamar University Inspects Development Projects and Medical Equipment at Al-Wihda University Teaching Hospital in Ma'bar

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, inspected the development projects underway at Al-Wihda University Teaching Hospital in Ma'bar, including the medical projects and equipment being installed to enhance its diagnostic, treatment, and educational capabilities. This inspection took place during a field visit to several departments of the hospital, conducted on the sidelines of his Eid visit to the health and educational facility.
During the tour, which included Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the General Secretary of the University, Jamal Al-Bahri, the Head of the Media and Public Relations Department, and Khaled Al-Eshawi, the General Director of Public Relations, the Hospital's General Director and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Hospital Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Miqdad, presented an overview of the most prominent development projects implemented at the hospital recently, as well as the ongoing plans to improve the level of medical and educational services provided to citizens and students of health colleges.
The tour included visits to several medical departments and units. The University Rector met with medical, nursing, technical, and administrative staff, reviewing workflow, performance levels, and the services provided to patients. He listened to detailed explanations of the tasks undertaken by the various departments and the challenges they face.
Dr. Al-Miqdad presented to the university leadership the progress made in developing and modernizing the infrastructure and medical equipment. Foremost among these achievements was the completion of the acquisition of a CT scanner, selected according to advanced technical specifications that ensure operational efficiency and service continuity. This will enable the hospital to expand its diagnostic services and meet the needs of patients whose conditions require this type of precise examination.
The University Rector commended the improvements he witnessed in the hospital's equipment and infrastructure, praising the efforts of its administration and medical and administrative staff in enhancing the quality of health and educational services. He emphasized that the hospital's ongoing development projects reflect an ambitious institutional vision that contributes to strengthening its role as a university, educational, and healthcare facility serving the governorate and surrounding areas.
From his part, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice Rector of the University for Academic Affairs, affirmed that the hospital represents one of the most important sources of practical training for medical students. He commended the contributions of the faculty members and academic and medical staff in providing treatment services and training for students of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Medical Sciences, as well as the training programs affiliated with the Institute of Continuing Education.
At the conclusion of the tour, the Hospital's General Director expressed his appreciation for the ongoing support and follow-up from the university leadership. He emphasized that the next phase will witness continued work on completing development and modernization projects and expanding medical and diagnostic services, thereby enhancing the hospital's standing as a leading educational and healthcare institution.
The tour was attended by a number of directors of relevant departments, most notably the Directors of Finance, Administration, Services, Media, and Public Relations, in addition to a select group of the hospital's medical, technical and administrative staff.
