Launching the Scientific Day for Diabetics at Al-Wihdah University Hospital

■ Under the patronage of the Rector of Thamar University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, and Yemeni Council for Medical Specialties, and under the supervision of the General Director of the Hospital, Professor Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Miqdad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Medicine, in cooperation with Saba Pharma Company for Medicines and Medical Supplies, organized today the Scientific Day for Diabetics for all courses "Internal Medicine, Gynecology, General Surgery, and Pediatrics". 

 

The event included scientific lectures on diabetes and methods of treating it, and a group of doctors presented a sample of diabetes diseases and stages of its development and how and methods of treating it using modern methods, followed by an extensive discussion about modern methods Updates in treating and caring for diabetics. 

 

Prof. Dr. Amt Al-Khaliq Mihras, the Head of the Coordination Committee of the Yemeni Council for Medical Specialties for the Maabar and Dhamar Centers, also gave a presentation on how to deal with diabetic patients, especially pregnant women and how to follow up on pregnancy in a way that preserves the health of the mother and fetus.

 

The event concluded with recommendations for doctors on the importance of proper diagnosis of diabetes patients and its early detection and treatment methods at all stages.

 

The inauguration was attended by Prof. Dr. Fawaz Emran, the Head of the Yemeni Council for Medical Specialties Branch in Dhamar, Dr. Mohammed Qasim Salah, the Head of the Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Medicine and Internal Medicine Coordinator, Dr. Fathia Al-Ezzi, the Gynecology Course Coordinator, and a number of hospital doctors and medical students at all levels.
