The Rector of Thamar University Inspects the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Reviews Performance Reports, Annual Report and Future Development Plans

■ As a part of the ongoing monitoring of the performance of the university's academic and administrative sectors, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, inspected the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research this morning. He was accompanied by the University General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, and the Head of Media and Public Relations Department, Jamal Al-Bahri. He reviewed the progress of work and the level of implementation of plans and programs related to graduate studies and scientific research.

During the visit, the University Rector met with several leaders of the Vice Presidency. He was received by the General Director of Graduate Studies, Abdu Al-Marani, the General Director of Scientific Research, Ali Zaid Al-Ansi, and a number of staff and technicians from the Vice Presidency. They presented an overview of the most prominent activities and programs implemented during the past period, and the level of achievement in areas related to developing graduate studies programs and enhancing scientific research activity at the university.

The University Rector discussed with the leadership of the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and the Vice Presidency for Scientific Research a number of issues and topics related to the work of the General Directorate of Graduate Studies and the General Directorate of Scientific Research. These included mechanisms for implementing development plans, the level of achievement in graduate studies and scientific research programs, and ways to enhance performance quality and improve graduate outcomes to keep pace with modern trends in higher education and scientific research.

The University Rector also reviewed the annual report of the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, which included a presentation of the most prominent achievements, activities, and programs implemented during the past period, as well as performance indicators and results achieved in the areas of graduate studies, scientific research, publication, and community service.

Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi emphasized the importance of the role played by the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in enhancing the university's academic and scientific standing. He pointed out that scientific research is one of the main pillars for developing university education and contributing to addressing developmental issues and serving the community.

From their part, the General Director of Graduate Studies and the General Director of Scientific Research reviewed a number of topics and future plans aimed at developing performance and expanding scientific research and graduate studies activities at the university.
