The Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council at Thamar University Holds its Eighth Meeting

■ The Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council at Thamar University held its eighth meeting for the academic year 1447 (2025/2026), in accordance with the directives of the University Rector, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi. The meeting was chaired by the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies, Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, who also serves as the Council's Chairman.

The meeting began with the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting, followed by a discussion of the items on the Council's agenda.

The Council focused on requests submitted by the colleges for the approval of thesis and dissertation titles and the appointment of supervisors. It also discussed the approval of the final results for graduates of graduate programs, reflecting the development of the academic evaluation system at the university.

The discussions included the Faculty of Administrative Sciences' request for approval of the preliminary results for doctoral programs in the Department of Business, Finance, and Banking, the Faculty of Engineering's request to open master's programs in several engineering disciplines, requests for supplementary courses for executive students in local development management; and several other approvals from various faculties, including the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, the Faculty of Arts, and the Faculty of Dentistry.

The meeting affirmed Thamar University's commitment to supporting postgraduate studies and scientific research, and to enhancing educational and research pathways to serve the community and raise the level of graduates and academic programs.
