The Rector of Thamar University Inspects Graduate Studies Office and Commends Digital Archive Linkage

■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, inspected the Graduate Studies Office to review the academic and administrative performance of the office and its affiliated units. He was received by Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

During the visit, the electronic graduate studies archive was inaugurated in the presence of the General Director of Graduate Studies, Abdu Al-Marani, and the Representatives of the office. The University Rector commended the high level of organization and the precise linkage between the paper and electronic archives, emphasizing its importance in modernizing the information infrastructure related to graduate students at the university, facilitating access to their data, and building a reliable knowledge base that serves the goals of higher education.

Furthermore, an expanded meeting was held at the Department of Scientific Research, attended by the University General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, Professor Ahmed Al-Akwa, the Head of the Department of Scientific Research, several department heads and general directors, center directors, and technical staff.

The meeting addressed the annual report and a wide range of other matters related to the university's administration. It also discussed the importance of developing and updating the university's website and online journals to enhance its digital presence and improve its electronic services.

The meeting emphasized the need to activate research centers and encourage development plans, including strategic initiatives such as the training program designed to equip university students with the scientific and research skills required by the job market and the demands of digital transformation. This reflects Thamar University's commitment to enhancing education and developing the capabilities of its academic staff and students within a clear, forward-looking vision.
