The Rector of Thamar University Inspects the Faculty of Engineering and Discusses the Description of the Civil Engineering Master's Programs

■ This morning, Professor Dr. Eng. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of Thamar University, inspected the Faculty of Engineering as a part of the development of academic programs, he chaired an extensive meeting with the faculty leadership in the Civil Engineering Department.

The meeting was dedicated to discussing the draft document outlining the description of the Civil Engineering Master's programs, both the academic and executive versions.

The meeting addressed several topics and issues related to the faculty, and in detail, the draft document outlining the academic Master of Science in Civil Engineering (M.Sc.) and professional Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MCE) programs. This included educational objectives, learning outcomes, study plans and assessment mechanisms, aiming to achieve a balance between theoretical and applied aspects and to meet the demands of the labor market and scientific research.

During the meeting, the University Rector stressed the importance of these programs contributing to supplying the academic and professional sectors with scientifically and practically qualified engineering competencies, emphasizing the need to complete the technical and academic observations on the description document in preparation for completing the accreditation procedures and starting the implementation of the programs in accordance with Thamar University’s developmental vision in the field of postgraduate studies and scientific research.
