Thamar University Launches Specialized Workshop on the Transition to a Unified Bachelor's Program Plan at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences

■ In a significant academic step towards unifying and improving study programs, Thamar University launched a specialized workshop this morning entitled "The Transition to a Unified Bachelor's Program Plan at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Alignment and Implementation."
The workshop was organized by the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance in coordination with the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and was held in the Economic Consulting Center.
The workshop was attended by high ranking academic and administrative leaders, including Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, and the Deputy Dean of the Center, Dr. Rashid Al-Sanfi, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the University General Secretary, Professor Dr. Amal Mohammed Al-Mujahid, the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, her deputies, heads of academic departments, faculty members, a number of researchers and experts, as well as the College General Secretary, Abdullah Rajih, and the General Secretary of the Academic Development Center, Mr. Nasser Najad.
In his opening remarks, the University Rector emphasized that the transition to unified study plans represents a pivotal milestone in the development of university education. He stated that it reflects the University's commitment to enhancing the quality of educational outcomes and aligning them with national requirements and the labor market. He stressed the crucial role of faculty members in the success of this academic transformation.
From his part, the Dean of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center explained that the workshop is part of a comprehensive institutional vision aimed at unifying academic frameworks and ensuring the consistency of study plans with national and international standards, while preserving the unique characteristics of programs and enhancing their competitiveness.
The Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences addressed the importance of precise alignment between previous plans and the unified plan to ensure that no key academic components are omitted and to maintain the quality of learning outcomes.
The workshop program included a presentation of the legal and regulatory framework of the unified plan, a review of relevant ministerial decrees and a discussion of the key differences between previous plans and the unified plan. Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Mawshki and Dr. Amal Al-Maqdashi presented on the mechanisms for aligning and ensuring the integrity of the scientific content. Interactive working sessions were also held, facilitated by the Dean and Deputy Dean of the Center, to identify potential challenges during implementation and formulate practical solutions and actionable recommendations.
The workshop concluded with presentations by the heads of the academic departments on the outputs of their working groups.
These groups focused on preparing a comprehensive academic document for the unified plan and submitting the outputs, recommendations and development proposals to the relevant authorities in the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research. This aims to ensure quality implementation and continuous monitoring and to establish a culture of development and sustainable improvement within the educational process at Thamar University.
