■ Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Hassan Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, accompanied by Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Adel Al-Ansi, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, launched the general system admission tests for the College of Administrative Sciences.
There are 635 students who are competing for 300 seats distributed across the college's majors in the fields of finance and business, including business administration, financial and banking sciences, marketing and accounting, within its accredited academic programs.
They were received by the Dean of the College, Professor Amal Al-Mujahid, the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Sanbani, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Mujahid, several department heads, the University Registrar, Mr. Abdulmalik Al-Muallimi, the College General Secretary, Mr. Abdullah Rajeh, faculty members and their assistants, the administrative staff and relevant committees from the Student Affairs Office.
The University Rector and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the progress of the exams in eight examination committees distributed across two examination centers.
During the inauguration, he praised the efforts of the College, its academic and administrative leadership and its various staff. He also commended the meticulous organization of these exams by the Student Affairs Office staff. He emphasized that the College of Administrative Sciences is one of the oldest and most vibrant colleges at Thamar University in terms of quality programs, attendance and discipline.
Prof. Dr. Al-Haifi also offered a set of guiding advice to students, urging them to make every effort to secure college seats. He explained that those who were not successful in the general admission program still have the opportunity to enroll in the parallel system for a nominal fee that does not exceed, at most, what some private schools pay for the primary stage. This reflects the university's commitment to ensuring the continuity of the educational process amid the challenges and exceptional circumstances facing the country.
The University Rector also pointed out the availability of additional opportunities, including the possibility of enrolling in a number of other applied and scientific colleges, such as the College of Applied Sciences, the College of Agriculture, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Education and the Institute of Continuing Education, which offers more than five specialized medical specialties.
He emphasized the possibility of enrolling in a unique group of humanities majors at the College of Arts. He also emphasized that Thamar University offers a wide range of academic programs that meet the diverse needs of society and the needs of the labor market.
