The Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at Thamar University Launched its Second Semester Exams and Inspecting Agricultural Rehabilitation Projects.

■ In a significant step, the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at Thamar University launched its second semester exams for the academic year 1447 this morning. The launch was attended by the University Rector, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, and the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulkafi Abdulfattah Al-Rifai.
This event reflected the university leadership's commitment to the smooth running of the educational and examination process and its dedication to providing a suitable environment for students to take their exams in a well-organized and stable setting.
The inauguration was attended by the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Adel Abdulghani Al-Ansi, the Assistant to the Rector for Research Centers, Professor Essam Wasel, the University General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum, the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdulghani Al-Yahiri, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Obbad; the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Dr. Fateh Al-Shawish, and the College General Secretary, Abdu Dahhan. This reflects the integrated institutional presence and the commitment of all university leaders to the success of this important phase of the academic year at the college.
Following the inauguration of the exams, the University Rector and his entourage conducted a field visit to inspect the greenhouses and the college's nursery. They reviewed the comprehensive maintenance and rehabilitation work recently completed, which included replanting the nursery, upgrading the irrigation networks, and expanding irrigated and rainfed crops. These projects are part of research and educational initiatives undertaken by the college on the eastern campus, contributing to bridging the gap between theory and practice and supporting the university's focus on developing productive and research resources.
During the visit, the University Rector urged the college leadership to redouble their initiatives and focus on agricultural and livestock projects at both the investment and research levels, aiming to achieve self-sufficiency and enhance the college's role in serving local development. He commended the college's deanship and staff for their efforts at both the academic and administrative levels to create a sophisticated learning environment, improve academic programs, expand scientific research and community service, and equip students with the academic and practical skills necessary to meet the demands of the local and regional labor market.
From his part, the College Dean expressed his gratitude to the University Rector, his Deputies, and the General Secretary for their ongoing attention, support, and encouragement. He emphasized that this support is a significant incentive to move forward in developing the college and serving its students and the community.
He also praised the efforts of the academic and administrative staff, particularly the Vice Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, and the College's General Secretary, for their continuous work in contributing to the achievement of the college's goals and its academic and community mission.
