MISSION

The Mechatronics Engineering Program at Thamar University aims to prepare engineers equipped with basic and advanced knowledge and concepts and trained according to national and international standards to meet the local, regional and sustainable development requirements by providing specialized academic staff and a distinct learning environment in accordance with the comprehensive quality systems and professional, ethical and research requirements.

Aims

Upon successful completion of the Mechatronics Engineering program, the graduates will be able to:

Applying knowledge of mathematics, physics and basic sciences to demonstrate the application of this knowledge to electromechanical systems.

1.

Analyzing the problems related to mechatronics engineering to find solutions using appropriate techniques, skills, engineering tools, and implemented prototypes.

2.

Designing mechatronics systems and components to meet the desired specifications within realistic constraints.

3.

Conducting experiments safely in measurements, actuating, control and robotic systems, write report and present results effectively.

4.

Investigating the inter-disciplinary characteristics of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

5.

Considering the impact of engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts for sustainable development.

6.

Carrying out searches of literature in mechatronics engineering and use databases to come up with valid information.

7.

Performing business studies relevant to applications of mechatronics.

8.

Applying ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities.
