Dear visitors of the Department website, it gives me pleasure to welcome you all. I would like to state that the Community Medicine is distinguished from other specialties as it is mainly concerned with the health of the society as a whole through focusing on the pathogens and methods of prevention from them. Though all sections are complementary to each other, the health of the individual is positively reflected on the health of the society. Surely, perhaps the situation that the world currently lives in due to the epidemic resulting from the COVID-19 virus, which exhausted the world in all respects, is the best example of the importance of the community medicine. 

Since the establishment of the department, the academic staff works hard to its best for better providing its services to the community and enrich the department with their continues scientific investigation to make the department updated with all the  new scientific production in the field of the community medicine. In fact, the joining  of the professor Dr. Abdul Ilah Al-Adharai to the Department of the Community Medicine, the services have become remarkable and unique. At the end, I should not forget to thank the professor Dr. Amat Al-Khaliq, the dean faculty and Professor Dr. Taleb Al-Nahari, the university rector, and the Vice-Presidents of the university who are making undeniable efforts to develop the college and provide it with all facilities.
