Abstract

 This paper aims to study the phenomenon of multiplicity in the poetic discourse of Ali al-Dumaini, by employing the phenomenon of the mask which is a manifestation of multiplicity in his poems. The paper is divided into two parts preceded by an introduction and a preface. The first part analyzes the phenomenon of multiplicity manifested in the poet's employment of human masks, while the second part analyzes them in the employment of masks extracted from nature. The paper adopts the stylistic approach that first identifies the phenomenon and then analyzes its different levels. The paper has reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The phenomenon of multiplicity manifests itself in the poetic discourse after its existence has been associated with the discourse of the story. The diversity of the poet Ali Al-Dumaini’s poetic discourse and the multiplicity of its techniques, which allowed him to address his discourse from different angles.
