The Faculty of Medicine at Thamar University Welcomes its New Academic Year Amidst Academic Readiness and Optimism for Further Excellence

■ In a vibrant and ambitious academic atmosphere, the Faculty of Medicine at Thamar University inaugurated the new academic year 1448 this morning, marking the beginning of a new educational phase.

During this phase, the faculty will continue its mission of preparing qualified medical professionals and enhancing medical education and scientific research.

During a field visit to the faculty, the Rector of Thamar University, Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, reviewed the academic and administrative readiness to receive students. He also listened to a briefing from the Dean of the Faculty regarding the arrangements made to ensure a smooth start to the academic year.

The University Rector was accompanied on the visit by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies, Professor Abdulkarim Zabiba, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Adel Al-Ansi, the Rector's Assistant for Centers Affairs, Professor Essam Wasel, the University General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Hutrum,  the Head of the Media and Public Relations Department, Jamal Al-Bahri, the General Director of Public Relations, Khaled Al-Eshawi, and a number of other university leaders and staff.

They were received by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, the General Secretary of the Faculty, Ali Al-Bakhrani; and several faculty members and academic and administrative staff.

The University Rector affirmed that the Faculty of Medicine is one of the leading specialized faculties at the university, given its pivotal role in preparing and qualifying physicians according to modern scientific and professional standards. He commended the efforts of the faculty's deanship and staff in maintaining and enhancing the level of academic performance.

The University Rector also met with the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. AbduIlah Al-Adhruei, the College's General Secretary, Ali Al-Bakhrani, and several members of the college's academic and administrative staff. He wished the college's staff and students a year full of success and achievement, emphasizing that academic excellence begins with discipline, commitment, and making the most of the educational opportunities available in classrooms and laboratories.

From his part, the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, expressed his appreciation for the university leadership's interest and its continuous monitoring of the college's affairs. He affirmed the college's and its staff's readiness to welcome the new academic year and continue the path of academic and research development in line with the requirements of modern medical education.
