Thamar University Discusses Enhancing the Quality of Medical Education in an Expanded Meeting at the College of Medicine

■ The Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, chaired the meeting today which held by the leaders of Thamar University, with the leadership of the College of Medicine at the college headquarters, to discuss a number of academic and administrative issues, within the framework of the efforts made to enhance the quality of education and training in the College of Medicine and improve the educational environment for the college students.
The meeting, which was attended by the Vice-Rector of the University for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, and Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Ansi, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, in addition to the General Secretary of the University, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the challenges facing the college were discussed, including reviewing teaching plans for the rest of the year and the academic year 1447, according to the latest international standards and improving the clinical training environment for students.
The mechanisms for settling the status of faculty members according to the temporary mechanism for salaries and wages were also discussed, as well as the topic of stimulating scientific research in the medical field.
During the meeting, the University Rector stressed the university's keenness to provide all necessary support to the College of Medicine, stressing the importance of developing infrastructure and laboratories and strengthening academic partnerships with local and international medical institutions.
A number of faculty members, Vice Deans, the General secretary of the college, and a number of its cadres also participated in the meeting.
