Discussion of 21 graduation research papers for students of medicine and surgery at Thamar University

■ The College of Medicine at Thamar University held today a distinguished scientific research day, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Haifi, the Rector of the University, and under the supervision of Dr. Abdullah Al-Murtadha, the Dean of the College, with the participation of an elite group of doctors and scientists from Thamar University from various medical specialties.

The scientific day included the discussion of graduation research papers for 21 student groups, including 121 and students from the 21st batch of General Medicine and Surgery, for the academic year 1446, 2024/2025

The discussions were attended by Prof. Dr. Abdulkafi Al-Rifai, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Hutram, the General Secretary of the University, the General Director of Al-Wihdah University Hospital, Prof. Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Miqdad, the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Medicine, the Vice General Director of the Hospital, a number of heads of medical and scientific departments, academic and administrative leaders of the university, and a number of researchers and social figures in the governorate.

The discussion and judging committee expressed its appreciation for the students' performance and their distinguished academic level, stressing the importance of the topics they raised and the innovative ideas and solutions they discussed.

The committee members pointed out the need for students to continue to address research issues that contribute to the development of the fields of medicine and general surgery and open new horizons for the development of the medical sector in Yemen.

These activities reflect the efforts of the university leadership and the Faculty of Medicine in preparing qualified medical cadres capable of facing health challenges and providing creative solutions that enhance the quality of medical services in Yemen.
